Veiled Wounds

Veiled Wounds

Rain in the veins is running deep,
There's a rugged surface upon us,
An open wound unattended -
An open wound invisible -
It bleeds, it pricks
Lies bare.
Wonderous how we shield the ill
And how we stand still.
Pretentious enough the wide grins,
The indiscreet poise one clings to
The helpless distant eyes
Yearning to be understood, dying to reciprocate.
It isn't a dire to be kind,
To hold a supportive demeanor -
All of us are flawed,
Most naturally as it is
Combating everyday, with hope for life.
