Unsung Wreck
Unsung Wreck
Bereft and vain as I stand
The far-flung, widespread frame of the blue
Trembles in mighty hue.
It's a strange day with the brightest sun
And the darkest shadow ever cast.
At sway with the tides
In rhythmic lash
Waves mock me and my impending agony.
It seems clear, I am the shadow
Of the darkest hour,
Of the murkiest dens and dead flowers -
My build has rusted,
Slashed and stitched,
But some things never really mend
Some things never relive, do they?
I wonder deeply how every being
Holds on to the dear thread of life
Waves mock me and my unkempt thrive.
I pray for ample strength
For them who combat on and on
And still, dare to dream
What an illusion life beholds -
I no more wanna dance in the rain,
I no more wanna fly,
Leaping and reaching the sky high
I no more wanna look at the sun
I no more want to drug my heart -
But a shadow is all I have of me...
Left of my bestial fate upon
I shiver in hope and keep waning on.
