Whispers of Rain
Whispers of Rain
When you loved the rain,
To be seethed within
To let the ripples dance,
On your skin of tender valour
And the curves of the menace.
When you loved the rain,
Yearning for the warmth
Of petrichor and moss
Just to be soaked
In love and in love.
The songs nestled with the waves in your hair,
Shivering hands that held your breath
It was never meant to set you free.
Each breath a prayer, you begged to stay.
Yet it left you parched awake,
Dreary, vapid and brittle to take.
To love the rain, it left you bare,
To be loved by the rain, will forever be cared.
