Void Wails
Void Wails
Be it for a
moment
From the
blink of an eye to the pits of a lie
Be it for
the longest
The longest
you would hold on to the dearest of times,
The longest
you would refuse to let go of ties,
Into the
drowning deep, when your heart skips a beat.
What wrenches
when you try to let go?
What falls
apart at your fragments by the sea?
Is there a
soul to let your ashes breathe -
The soul to
decipher your scars and scream?
Now the
rose only pricks, devoid of thorns,
And the void wails at the burning red,
The red strewn with fervor, the red tainted with trial.
Be it for a
moment
Let your
throbs roar, let a soul engulf yours –
Unwind
every knot, liberate every breath.
Walk ahead,
tracing the trail of your blood -
Of your
wars, of your love.
