A Distinct Altiude
A Distinct Altitude
I looked outside, it was homeless
Senses were afar, lost to some unknown destiny
My mind wandered,
It didn't belong anymore,
Didn't belong at home.
What are the tremors that hit the rocks
On the verge of heavy downpours.
The cascade of rush overwhelmed the earth
How it danced on the shale of grey;
How it splashed the silt of clay;
The spring it was that trekked down
From the peaks of adversity.
I stepped out on soaked moss
The sky had poured its heart out -
The earth caressed its tears.
The sun wrapped around
Embracing its fears,
Scars and scars and silent tears
Winds cradled the pain away.
What has become of us then?
Why do we fail to rhyme with nature?
Why do we let the hollow dig in?
What are emotions anyway, a quest not a lost cause
Are these the supposed warmth of our hearts?
