Go Grab a BOOK !

"There is no Frigate like a Book
To take us Lands away
Nor any Coursers like a Page
Of prancing Poetry –
This Traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of Toll –
How frugal is the Chariot
That bears the Human Soul –"

These lines by Emily Dickinson from the poem "There is no Frigate like a Book" explains how books fascinate us. I think everyone should develop a habit of reading. Reading really helps us to discover deeper levels of joy and opens a whole new, exciting world for us. Books relieve us of our boredom. More we read more imaginative we become. Reading also develops critical thinking skills. Reading different genres makes one empathetic. Many a times movies really cannot do justice to certain novels...either it gets exaggerated or it becomes far different from the plot. Reading also helps one to be a better person, it grooms personality...it shapes character. The habit of reading should be encouraged from childhood.

"IT ROTS THE SENSE IN THE HEAD!
IT KILLS IMAGINATION DEAD!
IT CLOGS AND CLUTTERS UP THE MIND!
IT MAKES A CHILD SO DULL AND BLIND
HE CAN NO LONGER UNDERSTAND
A FANTASY, A FAIRYLAND!
HIS BRAIN BECOMES AS SOFT AS CHEESE!
HIS POWERS OF THINKING RUST AND FREEZE!
HE CANNOT THINK -- HE ONLY SEES!"

Aforementioned lines by Roald Dahl from poem "Television", criticizes watching television and advises to read books.
Nowadays, people remain occupied with so many other things and strangely enough people do not like reading books !
Encouragement lacks in our society. If we notice carefully then....toys, clothing and digital stores are most common in every street...but... can we spot a bookstore anywhere? Its very rare.
To make our society well-read only school-college books aren't sufficient! People should be advised, encouraged about books.
Books are perennial sources of joy which can't be replaced !
